History & significance
Legend tells of the devotee Bodana, who brought the deity from Dwarka to Dakor in a bullock cart out of love.
The present temple was built in 1772 by a Maratha noble and rises with eight domes and twenty-four turrets.
On Sharad Purnima and other full-moon nights, lakhs of pilgrims walk from across Gujarat to reach the shrine.
